New Online Course Certifies Bakery Equipment Evaluators

Ashburn, Virginia - BEAG is excited to launch an online training course designed to certify professionals in the bakery industry as internal equipment evaluators.

This new program aims to equip bakery professionals with essential skills to ensure their equipment adheres to national sanitary standards.

The "Certified Internal Equipment Evaluator" online course offers a dynamic and flexible learning environment.

It includes four interactive modules that participants can complete at their own pace. This setup is perfect for busy professionals who need to fit training into their schedules.

Each module is packed with over six hours of engaging educational content and provides access to crucial industry standards, such as the Z50.2 Standard PDF.

Upon finishing these modules, learners can take the final exam. Those who pass will receive a certification that recognizes their expertise in evaluating bakery equipment according to the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z50.2 standards.

These standards focus on hygienic equipment design crucial for ensuring food safety and quality in the baking industry.

The certification also allows these professionals to certify their company’s equipment for BEAG’s Recognition of Conformity.

This certification ensures that equipment meets stringent sanitation standards, thus safeguarding consumer health and reinforcing the company's commitment to quality.

Jeremiah Tilghman, Chair of the BEAG Board of Directors, highlighted the course's benefits, noting it as a cost-effective, interactive tool that promotes food safety across the supply chain.

Jon Anderson, BEAG’s Managing Consultant, emphasized that this certification goes beyond meeting standards—it enhances equipment quality and safety, demonstrating a dedication to excellence.

Kristen L. Spriggs, ASB Executive Director, pointed out the practicality of transforming what used to be a two-day in-person course into a streamlined, few-hour online learning experience.

This new format utilizes interactive tools to make learning more effective and accessible, reflecting BEAG’s commitment to advancing the industry's educational needs efficiently.

This initiative supports professional development and aligns with broader industry goals to maintain high standards of food safety and operational efficiency in bakeries nationwide.
