Jackson, Michigan – Dawn Foods announces a three-year partnership with national nonprofit, For Goodness Cakes.
For Goodness Cakes is an organization that started in 2016 that matches volunteer bakers with community organizations. Together, they celebrate children in foster care and youth overcoming adversity on special occasions such as birthdays.
“With over 400,000 foster children across the country, there are too many youths who have never had a birthday celebration,” says Jamie Lehman, Co-Founder and Executive Director of For Goodness Cakes.
The global bakery ingredients manufacturer and distributor is the first corporate sponsor of For Goodness Cakes.
Dawn Foods will serve as a sponsor for five existing chapters in Houston, Los Angeles, Detroit, Northern New Jersey and Minneapolis.
Additionally, Dawn Foods will help open four new For Goodness Cakes Chapters in Jackson, Michigan, Kansas City, Missouri, Louisville Kentucky and Seattle, Washington.
“We were inspired by the mission of For Goodness Cakes, and immediately saw the shared values between our organizations,” says Sarah Richmond, Director of Dawn Corporate Giving.
