NuttZo Enters Refrigerated Bar Set

Due to rise of grocery stores and changing perceptions of processed products the snack manufacturers are struggling to keep their products relevant and profitable. While many of the manufacturers are jostling to reformulate with the clean label ingredients, others such as San Diego-based NuttZo are moving to offer refrigerated bars.
While the refrigerated bars category has processed over the last year, health centric nut and seed butter maker NutZo is launches its refrigerated bar line Bold BiteZ nationwide.

Bold BiteZ are NutZo’s first snack product after eight years on shelves. The product was developed as a way for consumers to enjoy the brand’s 7 Nut & Seed Butters in a grab and go format. The new product was first created in the kitchen of Danielle Dietz-LiVolsi’s, the founder and chief executive officer of the company. The product was offered at local events, family and friends at the initial stage.

The bars incorporate pea protein, grass-fed collagen and for texture it has cacao nibs and rice crisps. Also the palate-pleasing base is created by pumpkin seeds. The newly launched line will be available in two flavors Peanut Pro + Collagen and Power Fuel + Collagen. The bars will be available at an anticipated retail price of $2.59 to $2.99. It is one of the first product to include collagen which is believed to improve the health of skin, hair and teeth.

The company originally intended to set up a distribution network for refrigerated product, but as the ingredients are shelf-stable, the company was able to get them into stores quicker and keep the same operational procedures.
